Jake Dillon Band was Established March 2014.
The band includes Jake Dillon Tankersley on Lead vocals and Rhythm Guitar, Colton Joe Tankersley on Lead Guitar, Eric Cope on Bass, And Casey Highfill on Drums.
Jake and Colton were inspired by country music at a young age from their fathers gift to play, sing, and write. Jake was 13 and Colton was 9 when their dad bought them a few guitars, a small sound system, a couple mics, and a drum kit. They set it all up in the horse barn, cranked it up, and it was history from there, they were hooked.
Jake started writing original music at 17. One of his earliest songs
"See You Soon" was written in honer of two of his classmates at Charles Page High School that passed away in a car accident in October of 2010. He got the song recorded at Drapp studios and took it to 95.5fm and they played it every 95 minutes for 2 weeks straight. Long story short, he had to make a lot more copies of that single and in the end he raised over $5000 for the families with all the CD sales throughout Sand Springs and Tulsa. After that Jake says he knew this was his calling, music is what he was born to make.
Jake continued to write music with some great songwriting friends of his Jason Hargrove and Jared Hard. Song after song the stock pile kept growing.
Jake is now 23 and Colton is 18. Colton took the guitar and never set it down he is truly an inspiration, and some say a prodigy.
Eric can tear a bass apart while holding a great harmony and Casey can play some sick beats.
Come hear them perform their music and some covers. You will enjoy the Show.
Jake also made it all the way to Hollywood on the last season of American Idol performing for Keith Urban, J Lo, and Harry Connik Jr. He was cut in the top 200 but the dream does not stop there.
