FM Pilots, balancing indie rock aesthetic and an undeniable pop sensibility.
FM Pilots is an Oklahoma pop-alternative quartet that boasts catchy, polished tunes with heartfelt sentiment. "One of the city's most promising young pop rock bands" - G.K. Hizer, GaryHizer.com
Formed summer 2010, the band’s immediate chemistry allowed them to successfully break their debut self-produced EP in the fall, which was quickly embraced by local radio and even gained national exposure via digital radio services such as Pandora Radio. The band followed up with their sophomore self-produced album, “We Belong”, in 2012, which started opening much bigger doors. Hard work, a strong-growing following and an increasing buzz has landed them spots on Vans Warped Tour, showcases during SXSW, Center of the Universe Festival, Chevy Music Showcase, Tulsa PRIDE Fest, Backwoods Music Festival, BOK Rock ’N Rib Festival, Tulsa International Mayfest, Oktoberfest, and many more. Ample showcase opportunities has given them chances to play next to notable acts such as OneRepublic, Hot Chelle Rae, Neon Trees, MUTEMATH, OK GO, Meyer Hawthorne, AWOLNATION, Young The Giant, Cold War Kids, Twenty One Pilots, and many of their best friends in the midwest region.
Locally, the band has won the title of "Absolute Best Rock/Pop" from a local entertainment magazine. The band has gained attention from KMYZ (104.5 FM), KMOD (97.5 FM), KHITS (106.9 FM), KRSC (91.3 FM), KTUL 8, CW 12/19, KOTV 6, KWTV 9, FOX 23, and has also been heavily promoted by Tulsa's rock station, Z104.5 The Edge, on their Homegroan CD for 3 consecutive years. You can find FM Pilots at all major digital retailers such as iTunes, Amazon and Rhapsody, or grab physical CDs from their official website (http://fmpilotsmusic.com).
In January 2015, the band dropped their single/music video, "Start Up", which was selected for national rotation in over 2400 USA retail stores and gyms. Placement included Golds Gym, Retro Fitness, Powerhouse Gyms, YMCA, Von Maur department stores, and was followed up with placements in 700+ UK establishments. The group recently released their self-produced “Want Me” EP in Fall 2015, along with a music video for the title track, “Want Me”. This latest release serves as a pivotal stakeholder for a promising band on the rise. The group is currently working on securing regional support slots in addition to the existing dates they already have booked throughout the spring and summer. The band stays active with their fans on all popular social media outlets.

Wooo! Our song, Brighter, hit ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND plays on #Spotify today.
Happy B-DAY to our drummer, Joe Blanck! The only cup of Joe that gets hotter every year.
We had a BLAST playing Oktoberfest last night! That wraps up our shows for 2016. We’ve been lucky enough in 2016 to play many well-known festivals, travel to some awesome cities, and get started on some catchy new tunes. That being said, we are going into hibernation for the winter.
You may have seen recent clips of us writing/recording new songs. Somewhere along the way, we realized these songs could go in 500 directions and we can only choose 1. We’ve decided to hit the pause button for a season to refresh our minds and ears.
Sometimes it’s necessary to take a step back to see the big picture from a different perspective. We feel good about this. Stay tuned.
