Martin Moore Music

I grew up in the foothills of NC, and I don't ever plan on leaving this area unless God calls me elsewhere. I am convinced that there is not a more beautiful place in the world.

I also grew up in the church. I don't remember my family ever missing a Sunday or Wednesday night service when I was a child. It was in church where I learned many of the hymns that I currently play on hammered dulcimer and mountain dulcimer.

Since the early 1990's, I've been heavily involved in music. I've been in many bands/groups and play a variety of instruments, but most recently I fell in love with the hammered dulcimer. I've been pretty amazed at the doors God has opened since I started playing. It has been great to get out an play for folks in public. In past music groups, I usually found myself in front of church congregations, but there is something about the hammered dulcimer that speaks to people whether it's in church or on the street.

Hey folks. If you want to know what I'm up to these days, follow me on twitter! @newriverdrifter

Playing a couple of Christmas shows! I'm playing this Friday (December 2nd) at 6:00pm at Perkinsville Baptist Church. I'm then playing on Sunday, December 18 at First Presbyterian. Both of these shows are in Boone, and I will be opening for Amantha Mill, so they will only be about 10-15 min. sets. Hope to see you there!

Just got booked to play hammered dulcimer on Saturday, May 21st at Mast General Store in Valle Crucis. I should be there from 11-3 or so. #BackInTheSaddle #HereWeGoAgain

Looking forward to playing June 10th and July 8th at Brushy Mountain Winery with my good friend Drew Petrey! Looking forward to seeing y'all there. :)

Currently booking dates for Spring and Summer. Happy to be playing out with Drew Petrey. Let me know if you would like us to play at your event.
